CBHRM – Competency-based Human Resources Management
Definition :
1. Competency is an underlying characteristic of an individual to perform the job effectively
2. CBHRM is a series of decision to manage optimal employment relationship from recruitment, selection, staffing, retaining, development and termination, by using job competency model information and individual competency level integrally to achieve organizational goals
Flow Chart :
The CBHRM program is made up of the following:
1. Job Description : explains the individuals responsibilities, job’s purpose and competence of job’s holder
2. Competency Model : complete listing of all the competencies required by the incumbent to effectively perform the duties of a position
3. Competency Dictionary : Definition of all the competence
4. Assessment Process : an integrated system of multiple behavioral assessment techniques designed to assess the critical skills and abilities for success in a target job
5. Skill Gap : It may be identified before the training that an individual has a skills gap in a particular category
6. Training Matrix : highlights the training elements which a person requires in order to carry out their responsibilities safely
7. Types of Training : On the Job training (OJT), self study, internal, external
8. E valuation Process – following training the process that an individual can demonstrate competency through evaluation form

I have been scheduled to write an exam on two of the compentencies (analytical thinking and reseach)in a goverment organization. I have no idea on the format of the test. For example, is it computer or paper-based? is it short answer or essay?

Usually they used online/ computer based test, but sometime paper based guided by assessor
have a great day
